Over more than a decade, RSI Lab has turned the patterns behind modern news publishing into a productized stack. Each product is built to be deployed independently or as part of a connected newsroom ecosystem.
1. Newspaper Platform
A custom news and publishing CMS engineered for editorial velocity, breaking-news traffic, and bilingual content (English + Bengali). Built around modular sections, role-based editorial workflows, and performance patterns tuned for news spikes. We match the right CMS to each client based on their editorial fit, performance needs, and long-term roadmap.
Deployed for:
- The Daily Star, most recently upgraded to a new major CMS version by RSI Lab.
- The Business Standard (tbsnews.net).
- Dhaka Stream.
- NTV (ntvbd.com), a video-first news platform integrated with the broadcaster’s existing video workflow.
- Bonikbarta, Bengali-language business daily newsroom.
2. E-Paper Platform
A dedicated digital-edition platform that recreates the full print experience on any device, with page-accurate rendering, archive access, issue search, and reader navigation. Integrates with the Profile System for subscriber authentication.
Deployed for:
- The Daily Star e-Paper, with subscriber access powered by profile.thedailystar.net.
- The Business Standard e-Paper (epaper.tbsnews.net).
- Bonikbarta e-Paper (epaper.bonikbarta.net).
3. Profile System

Deployed for:
- The Daily Star (profile.thedailystar.net), the subscriber account system that gates access to the e-paper and other paid products.
- TBS Graduates, the alumni and early-career community directory for The Business Standard.
4. Mobile App Platform

Deployed for:
- The Daily Star, available on both Google Play and the Apple App Store.
- The Business Standard, available on Google Play.
- NTV, available on Google Play.
5. Data and Intelligence Products
Dedicated microsites that package structured economic and editorial data into reader-facing products, built on the same infrastructure as the main newsroom.
Deployed for: Economic Intelligence Bangladesh (intel.tbsnews.net), for The Business Standard.
6. Campaign and Event Platforms
Purpose-built microsites for campaigns, competitions, and newsroom events, with bespoke branding but shared infrastructure and editorial control.
